Inspired by the land grids viewed from the sky above. These handmade tiles are cut into stacked horizontal patterns that slightly shift, tiles are glazed in cool aqua blue and grey with pop of amber as an accent.

inner locking multi brights
The multi brights are a nod to one of my favorite artists, Rothko. Each tile is a mini explosion of color that inner-locks into a patchwork of pattern. The multi brights have been applied to many table tops, mirrors and wall installations over the years.

a perspective
This design was created for a table top. The handmade tiled pattern pulls from a single point of perspective, which creates the divide between the deep rich ruby reds and the bright red poppy hues.

This neutral tiled tabletop was created for a design collaboration in a hotel located in Florida.

embossed puzzle
These tiles were created for a tabletop. The clay was rolled out, pressed with leaves, lace and other found objects. I then cut the clay up into fractured shapes. Fired and glazed with rich browns, brick reds and amber. The tiles were then assembled back into a mosaic pattern.

This was a fun project! The tiled installation was created for a private residence located in Brooklyn, NY. The retro pattern & color of the tiles worked perfect with the stainless steel and red cabinets.
