"It began in my senior year of college at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. I took a ceramic class and was immediately fascinated by the endless possibilities of color, form and function. I found the creative process refreshing and very different from my traditional photo realistic style of drawing and painting. I felt free to explore and dive into the world of ceramics."

"Ceramics is one of the most versatile art mediums. One can create functional art and/or sculptural pieces. I've learned working with the medium for many years, you cannot entirely control the process in many ways. There are elements of unpredictability that must be embraced. I find this both fascinating and inspiring. For me it ensures each piece I create truly is a one-of-a-kind work of art."
